Nashville Metros Postpone Tryouts Due to Rain

 NASHVILLE Tenn. - The Nashville Metros have decided to postpone their impending tryouts which were set for this weekend, due to the inclement weather that Nashville is currently experiencing.  The team will announce a make up date for these tryouts within the next couple of days.  Please continue to check www.nashvillemetrossoccer.com for the most up to date news regarding the Nashville Metros.

Nashville Metros to Hold Tryouts on Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Metros will be holding tryouts this Saturday and Sunday, March 13 and 14 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. CDT.  Registration will begin at 8 a.m. CDT at Ezell Park.  The tryouts are open to any athlete wishing to see if they have what it takes to play soccer at the next level.  The fee to participate is $25 and must be paid upon arrival to the tryouts.

Metros to Face Mississippi and Atlanta in Final Home Games of the Season

The Nashville Metros will play host to the Mississippi Brilla and the Atlanta Blackhawks on Saturday and Sunday respectively. The Metros will play at Siegel Park Stadium in Murfreesboro on Saturday when they battle the Brilla, and return to the comforts of their home, Ezell Park, on Sunday to face long time rival Atlanta.

Metros hope for fireworks a day early at Ezell Park

The Metros will hope to get their first win in July when the Bradenton Academics who are top on the Southeastern division travel to Nashville. The Metros recently returned from a tough road trip where they tied the New Orleans Jesters 1-1, when Dustin Dawes crushed in a free kick for his seconded goal of the season. Two days later the Metros were defeated by the Mississippi Brilla 0-4.

NASHVILLE, TN -- The Nashville Metros proved more than Panama City could handle Saturday night defeating the Pirates 2-0. The game marks the team’s first home win of the 2009 campaign.
